Which Signature Method Should You Use?
Draw — Best for personal documents
Creates a unique, personalized signature. Works best on touchscreens (phone, tablet) where you can sign with your finger. On desktop, draw with your mouse — it takes a couple of tries to look natural.
Type — Best for formal business documents
Clean, legible, and consistent. Choose from several signature-style fonts. Works well for contracts where the recipient needs to read your name clearly.
Upload — Best if you have an existing signature image
If you've already scanned or photographed your signature and saved it as a PNG (transparent background works best), upload it for a consistent result every time.
Tips for a Professional-Looking Signature
- ✓Size matters. Make sure your signature is sized to fit within the signature line, not larger than a handwritten signature would be.
- ✓Use a transparent background. If uploading an image, use a PNG with a transparent background so the signature blends naturally with the document.
- ✓Check positioning on all pages. If a document has multiple signature lines, navigate to each and add your signature separately.
